Like Lightning In A Bottle

Today, I did nothing but laze around. The most productive thing I did today was probably dropping my brother off at school in the morning, but other than that ? Nada. Came back home, sat myself down in front of the TV ; a Sausage McMuffin w Egg in one hand, and an iced Milo in the other, and watched the latest episode of Suits that I recorded yesterday. Which by the way, is getting so intense ! Do any of you watch Suits ?? I was behind on Season 6, but I finally caught up after binge watching all the episodes that I missed two nights ago.
 I look forward to Thursdays again because, Suits !

Nothing much has been going on in my life right now.. it's pretty boring *yawns*. A typical day in my life would be : uni -  play with my cats - eat - sleep - repeat. My car is still not okay, so I can't really drive anywhere. Random, but I miss working  at FV and I miss my friends at work. I haven't seen them since Ramadan ! Hopefully when my car is fully OK again, I can start working on weekends like I used to. I only have a couple weeks left until I'm done with my final semester for diploma. Gosh, 2 years++ went by like lightning.
I remember Irfan wishing me good luck on my first day of uni like it was just yesterday lol.

Anyway, I watched the movie Nerve with Irfan last week, and I liked it. Can't believe I went in the cinema not knowing a single thing about the movie, I didn't even watch the trailer. When Irfan told me he wanted to watch that I was just like "Nerve.. ? What's that ?" but the moment he said Dave Franco and Emma Roberts were the mains in the movie, I immediately said yes to watching it haha. You guys should watch it if you haven't, looved the movie's concept + soundtrack.

Life happenings I wanna remember ;

My form 4/5 high school sweethearts.

Every year we look forward to Nabel's open house because Umi (his mum a.k.a our ustazah that we lovingly call umi too) cooks the best nasi kerabu ever. My tummy was happy dancing the night away because of the nasi kerabu and ayam bakar + ice cream Malaysia overload. The ice cream Malaysia Nabel had at his house were SO GOOD. I didn't know they make cookies & cream flavoured ones ? When I was so much younger, I remember the average grape, orange, milo / coklat pekat + susu pekat combo. But now they make cookies & cream, and agh it was really yummy. I think I had 4 of those, 2 cookies & cream, and two coklat + susu pekat. Y'all are missing out if you've never had ice cream malaysia haha.

Irfan's post-Raya makan-makan was fun. As expected, I was there from start - end, and even after that haha. This year's is such a contrast from last year's (Raya at the HZ's), where we were decked out in baju raya and I took loadssss of photos. But this year was pretty casual and chill. Irfan got me that top from his recent trip to London, and I wish I had taken a standing pic of me wearing it because it's such a pretty top ! So proud saying 'Thanks ! Irfan got it for me' whenever someone threw me a compliment about the top that day haha.

I became mama's teaching assistant for a couple of hours ! These girls are amazing, they're studying Islam at my aunty's madrasah and some of them memorise like 15 juz of the Quran already, masyaAllah. Their ages range from 8 - 17, and my mum gives them fun English lessons every other week. I decided to follow her one day, and it was so much fun. The girls are so sweet and nice.

Not in the pic because I took the pic haha

Highlight of last week was getting to see Koji and Gam (pronounced as ghem) ! They're both mama's students, Koji is from Sapporo, Japan and he studies in Hokkaido University ; one of Japan's top 10 Unis, but going to study in the States soon, and Gam is from Krabi, Thailand. My mum used to teach at this language centre that consisted of international students from all over (remember this and this ?), and all her students love her (I mean, it's hard not to. She's an amazing teacher), so whenever my mum travels or when her students come back to Malaysia, they always look for her. I've known Koji and Gam for years, so it was nice to see them. They came to Malaysia with little to almost no-knowledge of English at all, but now they're able to converse fluently and it's so cool y'know, cause it's all thanks to my mum. It's hard to find someone who can teach with passion, but my mum is definitely one of those passionate ones. She tells me she always gets positive energy after teaching, and it makes her happy. Koji and Gam both flew back already, can't wait for them to come back !
Or for us to go visit them in their countries.

That's it for this post ! I'm thinking of doing a skincare post, because I had a terrible breakout last month, but my skin is getting so much better after using certain products that I got off Hermo. But yeah, I wanna use those products a little longer before actually writing about them just so I could give my 2 cents a lil' better.

Hope you guys are all well ! x
