March - April Favourites

Hi ! I've been really busy this past week and I feel like I haven't blogged in agessssss. Sorry about that !
But I'm back now with another favourites post to share with you guys the things I've been loving these past two months.
Here goes :
Beauty

From left - right :

1. Cyber Colors 24HR Eyebrow Pen in 01 Grey and 02 Dark Brown

I was out running a few errands when I passed by Sasa and trust me, I really wanted to walk away but the temptation was too hard to resist sooooooo.. I ended up going in and buying a few things. Ha ha  (sidenote : the salesgirl was hella persuasive ok this is not entirely my fault). Anyway, I got these eyebrow pens after the girl did a demo on my brows and made them look all naturally amazing. I've been using them for about a month now and they were definitely worth buying. I wasn't being greedy when I got two, but they had an offer ! It was either one for 37.90 or two for 48. I don't need a lot of work with my brows because they're quite thick already but I like to fill them in to make them look neater and more defined because well, if your eyes are the windows to the soul, then the brows must be the curtains la right ?? They have to look good too. #izzalogic

2. Silky Girl Hi-Definition Gel Eyeliner Pen in 01 Intense Black

Okay, one thing you have to know about me is that eyeliner = not my forte. I've tried liquid liners, gel liners, but I always go back to the pencil / crayon-ish kind because for me,
it's the easiest. So this one from Silky Girl is great because it looks like gel liner but it's really the pen kind.

3. Sasatinnie Party Queen Hot Lash Mascara

I needed a new mascara because the Revlon Lash Potion I had before this dried out and smelled weird so I had to throw it out. Initially I was planning to get the Maybelline 'The Rocket' or 'Collosal' mascara but the persuasive (I think she has witch powers) sales girl told me to get this one. At first I was like 'err, maybe not' because I hate the packaging, it looks tacky af (and yes, I judge things based on their packaging) but I remembered that my friend Hana uses it and she's been telling me how good the mascara is since last year. Plus it was also on offer, from 54.90 to 35 if I'm not mistaken so why not. Anyway, what I love about this mascara is the wand, it has little spikes everywhere so it gets my little lash hairs and gives them the volume and length that I want + doesn't clump + holds the curl of my lashes well too. It's said to be waterproof and smudge proof, but God, it smudges !! I had to rub my eyes while I had the mascara on one day and it ended up smudging under my lower lash line. The smudge wasn't that bad like BAM mascara everywhere, but yeah the smudginess was visible even though it was little.

4. Silky Girl Moisture Rich Lipstick in 01 Naked

This was one of those 'I don't need it but I bought it anyway and I love it like cray' kind of purchase. Long story short, I couldn't get a parking spot on campus so I parked in Tesco and to get 3 hours free of parking, I needed to buy something, so ta-da, got the lipstick. I didn't pick it up at random though, I actually did swatches of the different shades they had on my hand and fell in love with this one. I've been on a lookout for an inexpensive everyday lipstick and this is definitely my holy grail now. It's like a muted pink with slight brown undertones. It's definitely a 'my lips but better' kind of shade, it looks natural and it matches the colour of my lips perfectly. I'm just so in love with this one, probably my most favourite thing in this list AND it costed me less than 20 bucks. Insane. The swatch above doesn't do the colour justice though, so you have to go look for it and see for yourself if you wanna see the colour properly.

5. Palmer's Cocoa Butter Formula Sunscreen Stick with Vitamin E and SPF15

God. That was the longest lip balm name ever. Besides the fact that it has SPF and Vitamin E, it also smells like frickin' chocolate. 'Nuff said.

6. Simple Kind To Skin Moisturising Facial Wash

In my January favourites, I mentioned that I was loving the gel facial wash from Simple, but I ran out of that one, so I've recently switched to this cleanser and I like this one a lot better !! It leaves my skin feeling nice and soft because of the moisturiser in it, plus I can tell that my skin is reacting well with this one because my pores look like they're getting smaller too.

Instagram : @islambeauty

If you like reading nice quotes and reminders about Islam, follow @islambeauty. They don't post everyday, probably like once a week but I love what they post ! Always nice to be reminded of our beautiful religion, even if it's on Instagram.

Application : Dubsmash

My best friends and I have sent each other SO many dubsmashes to each other, and I get a good laugh from all of them. It's freaking hilarious hahahaha. Everyone's into the My Idol app now but I still don't know how to use that cause everything's in Chinese but who knows, I might play around with it soon hahaha.

OH AND LOOK I GOT MY MAY POP BOX ALREADY !

I am dying to show you guys what I got, but the rest of the girls who ordered haven't gotten their boxes yet so I don't wanna be the loser who spoils the surprise for everyone hahaha so expect a post about the Pop Box somewhere next week ! I swear guys, Pop Box is like the best thing ever. I was so excited when I opened the box, I was literally saying 'OMG NO WAY I LOVE THIS' at every single item I picked up. Definitely a really nice surprise ! Please go and follow @thepop.box on Instagram to show them some love and support, they really really deserve it.

These past two months have been extremely hectic for me but I'm happy that May is finally here ! Besides the fact that I have finals at the end of this month (ugh), I have a lot of plans for May and I can't wait to blog about all of them haha. I hope everyone is doing great. 5th month of the year already, pretty quick huh ? x

About the pop box kan, I just have a few inquiries before purchasing it and when i ask my friends who already got theirs they keep telling me stuff like 'see for yourself' or 'ask them if you wanna know'. So I thought, maybe its better if I just ask you. What is in the pop box? Is it like a surprise thingy every month? also, how much is it?

    1. Oh I understand, I don't see Irfan much too so I think I get what you mean by that. Anyway, I think it's really important to have maximum trust between each other, and to always remember that no matter what, at the end of the day love reigns above all. Personally, I think long distance relationships fail when they start doubting each other and stop putting in effort into the relationship. By effort I don't mean having to talk to each other 24/7 but effort in always trying to make the other person feel loved and happy. I'm not an expert at these kind of things but that's just what I think haha. I hope you two last ! x

    2. i always get lazy to wear my sunscreen hahah and i always think i dont need to clean it with a face cleanser because i dont really get acne or anything, is clean water enough? and do you get blackheads ughhh they're so annoying i can never get rid of them

      Delete
    3. Haha if you don't need cleanser then don't use it, your face might act differently once you start using one so if you're okay with your complexion now then clean water is 100% okay :) I dooooo ! I And even I don't know how to get rid of them :(

    1. Hi Nadia, daily I just use my Olay moisturiser that has SPF24 in it but on days that I'm going to be under the sun a lot, I use the L'Oreal UV Perfect Advanced 12H UV Protector with SPF50 (geez that was such a long name haha). x
