Whirlwind

I've done a great job so far with keeping myself busy and 'productive' throughout my semester break. Like last week I was caught up with the whole Play & Pray thing, and this week I've been working for long hours (which will continue until I start the new semester). The determination I have to save up for a camera is growing stronger by the day haha. Anyway, these past few days have been an emotional one for me. Maybe my emotions are amplified due to the fact that Aunt Flow is on her monthly week-long visit, but I think even if that weren't the case, it'd still be one hell of an emotional week nonetheless.

So, my cat Cream Puff died on Monday. My heart broke. I was busy at work when I saw I had a missed call from my mother. I called her back and she was crying, I knew it wasn't going to be good news. Through her sobs, she uttered 'Cream Puff dah mati', I broke down on the spot. I didn't wanna cry, I was at work. But how could I not ? I was crying so much that Kak Kim and Nasrie (the friends I work with) told me that I could go home for a while to see my cat. I drove back home in tears (don't do this guys, so dangerous), and the moment I stepped foot inside my gate, there I saw Cream Puff on the grass in my little garden. The top half of him, my mother had covered with a sheet of newspaper. His little limbs stiff on the ground. I sat down on the grass next to him and slowly took the newspaper off him. His body was fine, blood stains here and there. But on the right side of his face, it was covered in blood. His eyes were even half opened. God, I was crying so much. I know he's in a much, much better place now. Up in kitty heaven. Allah has a special place reserved just for him, I know it. I know Cream Puff is happy up there. With never-ending streams of milk and an endless supply of fish and cat food. I'll see him there. And when I do maybe he might even look like a lion already, I've always seen him as a little lion cub. Like Simba from Lion King. Sigh. I miss you terribly baby Cream Puff. I spent the first two days of the week mourning. I accept the fact that he's gone, but the pain was almost unbearable. I wanted to break down every time I feed my cats, I wanted to break down every time I get home from work, cause Cream Puff would usually be the first to greet me at my car.

Caught my other two cats watching over Cream Puff's grave :(
Dino lost a brother, Butter lost a son.

On Wednesday, I went out for tea after work with my best friends ; Jane and Jiha.at a new little cafe in my neighbourhood called Petals & Co. Shalma and Syukri joined us afterwards and we all started reminiscing about our school days and how ridiculous we all were. Everything in the cafe was 50% off when I went so I managed to get apple juice and cake, under 5 bucks in total. Which is insanely cheap.

Double J's. Jiha and Jane.

Besides the little impromptu tea party with my friends, the only other interesting thing that happened to me was winning a dUCk scarf ! I reposted a photo to enter and I think the rest was just pure luck. D mentioned me in this post and I couldn't stop smiling !! There were over 200+ reposts, and I was among the lucky chosen 3 to win ! Wow. Alhamdulillah.

I went to BSC to redeem my dUCk and the ladies who were at the booth were so sweet ! (No, I don't know who D is, though I really wish I did haha). They let me choose the one that I want and they were so helpful too. I was practically going crazy. I WANTED ALL. I'm a sucker for neutral shade tudungs, so of course the ones I looked at were all browns. I was torn between the Peachskin Baklava, Georgette Espresso and Bamboo Cotton Buttermilk. After holding on to all three and just staring at myself with the scarves in the mirror for like 10 minutes, I settled for the Espresso and I couldn't have been happier with my choice. It's beautiful ! And the material is amazing. So glad I could cross off one of the dUCks on my wishlist. Ahhhh I'm crazy happy.

Outfit Details : dUCk in Toffee Pudding, shirt and necklace from H&M,
bag from Longchamp, Joni Jeans from Topshop, flats from ZARA.

Of course I had to try on my new dUCk when I got home. Hahaha.

Right now I'm just hoping and praying to win the Paresa Phuket contest by FashionValet and The Luxe Nomad. I want it so bad ! InsyaAllah, if it's decreed to be my rezeki, I'll win. Amin. They're announcing the winners on the 3rd of April I think, since the contest ends on the 2nd. Other than that, I still have a full week of working full time before my short semester starts. I'm dreading it.

Hope everyone's having a good weekend :) x

    1. Thank you :) Oh, she deleted her social media accounts because people were invading her privacy. So right now she only has an instagram for her family and best friends. She's fine ! Don't worry.

    1. Waalaikummusalam. Thank you :) I used to love reading but I can never find the time to read nowadays so I guess that really isn't my hobby anymore. Fiction, I would recommend Norwegian Wood by Haruki Murakami and Where Rainbows End by Cecelia Ahern. Two of my all time favs. For non-fiction / motivational type of books, I haven't came across any that is as good as Reclaim Your Heart. But I really wanna read Girl Boss by Sophia Amoruso and It's Not How Good You Are, It's How Good You Want To Be by Paul Arden.

    1. Hi ! Yeah it is, and I usually wear a white short sleeved t-shirt under my top. And yup, I was wearing make up. It's okay if you're not the pakai make up type of girl you know.. nothing wrong with that. My advice is, If you don't want to, or you don't need make up, don't wear it. Don't feel like you're obligated to wear make up just because you've reached at that age where a lot of girls are starting to venture into it. I wear make up probably just once a week if I go out that weekend, cause make up is a lot of fun for me when I get ready and dress up. But like when I go to classes or anything my face is makeup-free. Put something on your face because you want to, or if you feel better with it :)
