Sure Thing

Current situation : Me on my bed listening to Destiny's Child with a pore strip on my nose. I had classes until 6 today, and I'm suuuuper tired. I have a quiz on Culture Creativity and Managing Change tomorrow that I should be studying for right now but I thought I'd write a quick post about my recent get-together with friends / date with boyfriend. But before I start, I got something that made my day yesterday. It was just a post-it note but it definitely managed to put a smile on my face.

I was just chilling on campus when two girls came up to me and pasted a post-it note on my hand and said "We're working on an assignment project right now and.. this is for you." and then walked away. I read it and smiled and thought that their project was genius. They were practically making strangers' days with compliments ! I loved it. I loved the idea of it. And they must be really happy looking at how they make other people happy, I bet it's such an amazing feeling. Oh and MSU has been heavily involved in helping raise funds and donation collections for clothes and other essentials for the flood-hit victims, and I'm super proud of them. I think in total there are about 700 #MSUCares volunteers and it's nice to see everyone working together to help others. Our country needs our help. Everyone should be involved. Everyone should do something. Donate if it's only RM1, give away your clothes that are just sitting in your wardrobe, give away those tudungs you never wear. Their homes are destroyed and these people have nothing ! They still need all the help they can get.

Okay moving on. I'll start with the most recent. I was out with this darling handsome of mine last Saturday after almost 2 months of not seeing each other. 2. Freaking. Months. You read that right. And it was also my first time going out with him wearing a tudung, oh you could imagine how nervous I was. He's been really sweet and supportive of me wearing it, and he tells me I look beautiful but I couldn't help it. It was like giving him a first impression on our first date all over again. Hahaha. But yeah, it's not really an easy thing to watch your girlfriend transition from going out with long, flowy hair and now in a tudung. I'm glad he's with me on this and that he still loves me exactly the same. I had a really great day with Irfan. We don't see each other a lot but that doesn't affect our relationship in a bad way at all, we miss each other and it'd be sooooo nice if I could see him a lot more (y'all who get to see your boyfriends almost everyday are lucky af) but I think this is what makes us strong and this is sort of proof that we love each other that much.

Next up, on the first day of 2015. I went out with my best friend Hanis and her boyfriend Mukhnizam. Third wheel la, basically. She picked me up from my house and we made our way to her boyfriend's to surprise him. We then made our way to Bangsar. Our initial plan was to surprise Irfan also, but he wasn't home from IUKL and he had to be with his family straight so no biggie. We had lunch at Mikey's, and then went to Gardens / Midvalley to walk around before having ice-cream for dessert. I had a lot of fun, I can't remember the last time I was out at a shopping mall with my best friend so it was nice to finally have someone to go crazy with about the sale in ZARA and the lipsticks in MAC. We also went into the Michael Kors store in Gardens. The MK medium Selma satchel in black (with silver hardware) has been on my wishlist since.. ever since the first time I've laid eyes on it. And seeing it in the store killed me. I want it so bad but siiiiigh, $$$. I'm obviously not the type to be spoiled with designer handbags, though I wish I was cause bags are love to me haha. So I never ever ask for anything like that. But yeah, I'll work for it. I always do.

On the 30th of December, my friends and I got together at Twenty & Co. in Shah Alam to surprise one of my best friends ; Acap for his 18th birthday ! Jiha had it all planned, and it was great to see all of them. Especially Jane and Nabel. I barely see them cause we're in different unis and stuff but when the 5 of us are together (with Jiha and Acap) it's always a lot of fun. I miss seeing them everyday in school, they were the ones that kept me going all throughout form 4 and form 5.

Nabel & Janeeeee

We're a very unusual group of friends. Never thought I'd be close to my ustazah's son ; Nabel,
or have a chinese best friend ; Jane, or even speak to the ever silent Acap,
or the girl who didn't particularly like me when we were 13 ; Jiha. 5 of us man.

The biggest heart, the biggest smile. The smallest eyes tho. I love you Jane hahahahaha.

It would have been the icing on the cake if I got to see my SuDus as well tho, can't tell you how much I miss all of them. Even Aina, who's in the same uni as me, I barely see her. What more the rest in Damansara :( Soon, insyaAllah.

As for now, I should probably start studying for my quiz tomorrow, and for my mid-semester exam next week. Oh and my cousin Kak Long is getting married this Saturday ! I'm so excited, she's my first ever cousin to be getting married !! So on Thursday night, I'll probably be sleeping over my cousins' for their malam berinai and to prepare for the majlis nikah this Saturday at KLGCC. Super duper stoked. I'm so happy for her.

Hope everyone's having a good week so far. My mum's car wouldn't start last night after fuelling up at the gas station, and we were stuck there until about 10PM when my step dad and uncle came to rescue us. I was tired, and obviously in a bad mood. Could totally relate to Vivy's getting mad post, I swear. And because of that, Irfan had to be the victim of my bitchiness when all he was trying to do was calm me down and be there for me. This is why he's the better half in the relationship, guys. Seriously.

Anywaaaay, thought you should know that I'm currently working on a post about why I wear the hijab and what it means to me and all that, so keep checking my blog for that if you're interested to read about it. Til then. x

    1. Oh ! I'm sorry, I think I missed it. I don't really go through my notifications. But anywaay, I wear it like how anybody would wear a normal shawl.. haha. Shorter side on the right, tuck it in my top or something and then wrap it around my head and pin. If it's too short or long, I'll adjust the length on the shorter side. If I need more "volume", I pin the shorter side up on the side of my head and then wrap over it :) Nothing special.
